The growing spread of fibre optics in Italy is leading more and more companies to look for specific solutions for floor and road cutting. This applies above all to urban construction sites, where laying pipes and cables requires cuts in asphalt, with the added need to work in confined spaces while causing minimal damage to the road surface.
The solution commonly used today is a mini excavator or mini loader fitted with a wheel trencher, which is not always ideal in operational and logistical terms.
To meet this new market need with the greatest possible flexibility, SEA Technology has developed SEAFLOOR 501, the only professional petrol floor saw with a 13 HP Honda engine that delivers cuts up to 20 mm wide and up to 175 mm deep in a single pass, depending on the tool fitted.
Compact and easy to manoeuvre
SEAFLOOR 501 is easy to use in tight spaces: for example, it can easily pass through a garden gate and work on narrow streets, pavements and residential courtyards.
The anti-vibration handle makes work more comfortable for the operator and, thanks to its continuous 180° adjustment, allows straight cuts to be made with great precision. Its low weight, lifting eye and handles make transport much easier: SEAFLOOR 501 can be carried in an ordinary van, with no need for a flatbed truck or crane.
Clean cuts, optimised operations
Clean, optimised cutting operations are the key advantages this machine offers its users. Compared with a trencher, which produces mini-trenches 6-10 centimetres wide that must then be filled with costly materials, SEAFLOOR 501 reduces the trench width to 15-16 millimetres, so that just 1/5 of the material is enough to fill them.
It can be fitted with a diamond blade (diameter 500 mm, bore 25,4 mm) or a grooving blade, i.e. a diamond blade with a thicker segment and steel core, which is particularly suitable for this type of application, in various diameters and with thicknesses from 6 to 20 mm. The standard flange allows several blades to be mounted up to a total thickness of 20mm.
From the 30-litre tilting tank – strategically positioned to optimise weight balance on the tool – the water that cools the diamond flows directly through the flange, optimising water consumption.
In short: 5 reasons to choose SEAFLOOR 501
1 – More and more companies and operators are asking their dealers for floor-cutting solutions for sites where fibre-optic pipes and cables are to be laid.
2 – The growing spread of fibre optics makes machines that optimise costs and lead times increasingly indispensable. Such an easy-to-handle solution allows companies to win more contracts.
3- SEAFLOOR 501 is the only 13 CV floor saw that delivers cuts up to 20 mm wide and up to 175 mm deep in a single pass.
4 – The material needed to fill the trenches is 1/5 of that required when working with a mini excavator fitted with a trencher.
5- Weighing 105 kg, it can be transported in any type of van; no flatbed trucks or cranes are needed to load or unload it.
